Custom Cut to Order

We make each frame custom cut to your specifications. We can make virtually any size, but due to shipping limitations only sizes 28×48 or 31×40 or under are available to order online.

From photos to posters, puzzles to pictures, round or square; these modern floating acrylic frames will display your artwork in style. Up to 3/8″ in thickness, but thicker items may need special rubber washers you must buy, contact for details.

How to Order

Measure your artwork. Select your size from the dropdown boxes. Round up for fractional sizes as you will be able to clarify dimensions in the comments sections.

Order your ARTWORK size and not the final frame size you want. We will automatically calculate your frame size by adding 4″ to the size of your artwork to provide a 2″ border where the hardware goes through. If you are using a mat, your size will be the outside dimensions of the matted artwork. If you do not have your physical artwork to measure (it is on order or not received yet), we recommend you wait for the art to arrive as it is often not the exact size advertised.

How to hang

When your frame arrives, it will be covered in a blue or white protective film that you must remove.

Sandwich your art between the two panels. We recommend Glue Dots to keep your artwork in place.

You will attach the frame to the wall using the standoff hardware – see our video for detailed instructions.

Important things to know

These frames are not suitable for original artwork as the front panel presses against the art and could interact with chemicals in paint.

Nor are they suitable for items of varying thickness.

The frame does not include a white mat. Any matting should be purchased and measured before ordering.

Frames with any side over 36″ will have 6 hardware – one in the middle of the long side to mitigate potential bowing. Note that frames with sides 32-35″ have the potential for bowing in the middle and you can request a middle hardware at no additional charge.,

For frames 17×21 and larger, 3/4″ diameter and 1″ deep standoffs are used # of Hardware Frames with sides <=36″ will have 4 hardware. Frames with ANY side 36″ and over will have 6 hardware. See “Important things to know” Standoff color Muted chrome is the default hardware sent with your frame. However, you can request black, white, gold or shiny chrome in the artwork size comment box. Thickness of material accepted Maximum material thickness is 3/8″. Thick items may need special rubber washers for the corners to prevent bowing which must be purchased separately. UV and anti-glare protection Acrylic has natural UV protection (99% of UVB light, 35% UVA light). Upgrades to full UV protection and antiglare are available with special order Uniform Thickness Required The item you are framing must be of uniform thickness. It is possible to frame varying thickness but you would need to super glue it to the back panel. RETURN POLICY Frames are custom cut to order similar to an engraved item. HOW TO ORDER: Select the yellow Customize Now button and enter your ARTWORK size. We will automatically add 4″ to the artwork size you order to give you a 2″ border on each side which is the most aesthetically pleasing and provides the required room for the corner hardware.
HARDWARE COLOR: By default, the hardware will be Brushed Silver. However, in the Artwork Size freeform text field, in addition to restating your artwork size, you can request a different color from Shiny Silver, Black, White and Gold. For example, enter “artwork is 9×14 and change hardware to gold”
FRACTIONAL SIZES: If your artwork is a fractional size, simply round up when selecting the short and long side dimensions and in the Artwork Size freeform text field enter the true dimensions. For example, your artwork is 9.75 x 14.5, order a short side 10 and a long side 15 and in the Artwork Size field enter “artwork is 9.75×14.5”
ANY CUSTOM SIZE: Custom cut and made to order per your specifications, just about any size combination is available. If your size combination is not an option from the drop down menu, it is not available as a standard option because we can’t ship it cost effectively. You can email for a custom quote but jumbo sizes usually start at $600
SPECIFICATIONS: Corners are ROUNDED, squared corners available by requesting in the Artwork Size field. Made from .125” thick framer’s grade acrylic but one panel is upgraded to .25” if any side is over 36”. Four ½” diameter standoff pegs are used for frames with both sides under 20”, increased to ¾” diameter when over 20”. Frames with any side 36″ or longer will have a MIDDLE hardware added.
