Soaks up the water
No wet table underneath these coasters. My iced drinks sweat and I never worry because these coasters soak up the moisture and the cork on the bottom keeps them from sliding on or scratching the table. They are beautiful as well.

Perfect, elegant coasters
Really well made – love that they are absorbent and have cork on the bottom to prevent scratching our coffee table.

It’s the little things that makes one smile 🙂
I adore Coasterstone’s “Victorian Lace” coasters. You won’t find a prettier coaster anywhere. The original 4-pack, which I’ve enjoyed for many years, was well worn and needed replacing because some were cracked and some were chipped, all on account of user error. I couldn’t remember where I purchased them, nor could I remember the brand. Thankfully, Amazon’s camera-search feature found them. two new sets arrived today and they are every bit as lovely as ever.Functionality: they absorb better than ALL other coasters I’ve used, both at home and at the homes of others. To avoid stains, wipe/rinse spills promptly. To avoid chips & cracks do your best not to drop them.

Excellent coaster – Limited lifetime
I’m working off an industrial table with an indestructible surface, so protecting the table isn’t an issue. The issue is that when I pick up my glass and take a drink (diet coke or iced tea with lots of ice), I get large water drops on my clothes. This coaster employs an absorbent material, and I have yet to see a single drop of water even form on it. It appears to be dry even when it has obviously absorbed a considerable amount of water. The fact that it’s 4-1/4 inches in diameter rather than the usual 4 inches probably also helps, as there’s more material to absorb the water. And they are quite attractive.Highly recommended.=========================UPDATE I have been using one of these coasters on a daily basis for 4 months now and can report two things. First, it’s gotten dirty/brownish, probably as the result of an occasional drop of coke or tea running down the side of the glass. This suggests to me that white may not be the best color for coasters. Second, it has lost much its ability to absorb the moisture from the glass so I’m getting drops of water on my clothes, which is what prompted me to buy these coasters in the first place. That being said, I’m not unhappy and I’m leaving my rating at 5 stars. I’m going to throw this coaster out and continue with the next one in the box. Their ability to absorb large quantities of moisture – at least when new – still makes them winners in my book, even if they don’t last forever.

Beautiful, absorbent stoneware coasters
Years ago, I purchased two sets of absorbent stone coasters that worked wonderfully well and looked great. They were super absorbent, stayed put, and were big enough to use under large glasses and mugs. I loved them. Over time and after many washings, the decorative top layer wore off leaving them still usable but not as pretty. I finally decided it was time for a new set.I put the old coasters away in our buffet (saving them for when we need extras when we have company or a party) and went shopping on Amazon for a replacement set. I decided on these as they match the colors of our home. They arrived in a bubble-padded envelope encased in bubble wrap within a little clear plastic box. Very safely packaged and in perfect condition. The coasters are beautiful with vibrant colors and a really pretty design. Please note that these coasters are not painted ceramic. The design is on a paper (maybe paper? I’m not sure what the material is made of, but it seems like thick paper) layer on top of the absorbent stone. My previous stoneware coasters were the same. As long as you don’t scrub them if/when you wash them, the design should last a long time. Just wash them with care and don’t rub away the top layer. You’ll be fine. The stoneware material does a great job of absorbing condensation from your glasses and mugs to protect your tables. Much better (and prettier) than other coasters I’ve used. I love these so much I purchased another set with a different design.

Nice quality but look unfinished
These are nice weight and absorbent so work well. The white color looks unfinished and if you spill coffee on it the coaster is then permanently stained.

Works very well
This coaster goes with everything, ornate, and winter white. It absorbs immediately; whereas, Thirstystone pools on top and absorbs slowly over a period of time. I like the size on this one that it is bigger. Other brands are smaller in size. This is not as thick as Thirstystone, but it looks more natural and normal. It absorbs plenty of moisture for the average person. Now does your glass sweat profusely all day? Then you might just want to invest in a sandstone block or a non-sweating double-walled glass.

Love these coasters!
These are beautiful, well-made, elegant little coasters that absorb water well. Pretty Victorian Lace design and the perfect size for all different glasses. They have cork bottoms to prevent movement. I bought two sets and love them!

I love these coasters. I previously had wooden coasters that were coated so they were supposed to be water resistant but they weren’t. These coasters have a pretty pattern and they are solid coasters that absorb condensation from glasses really well. Would buy again!

Me encantan.
