Run from Bosch….run as fast as you can!
We have purchased Bosch for decades, used to be a fantastic product, now the service and support is an absolute joke. Run, don’t walk away from the Bosch brand now.We’ve been waiting 5 months for warranty service on our brand new Bosch 500 series. Support overseas apparently just makes excuses till the warranty runs out I guess. It’s a shame because again, used to be such a great brand.We can’t wait any more, after dozens of phone calls, promises of repair for months, no show service, one service person who actually left messages in the Bosch repair system that they’d been out to our home and actually claimed they came in and did a diagnostic when in reality, nobody showed up at all!We are going to deinstall the Bosch we only had working for ONE WEEK and go get something else. Pathetic non-existent service and the outsourced overseas support is a nightmare. Our 500 series had a broken handle the first time the air dry popped it open, door was replaced then the water heater inside failed. That was week 1.Never, ever, ever again Bosch, you’ve lost a longtime customer.

Beware — Frustrating From Day We Got It (same unit 800 series)
The first time we loaded and used this machine we were so frustrated we wanted to return it — but seller wouldn’t take it back. Several issues others have expressed, we had. The worst problem is: If you ever used a regular dishwasher, like Kitchen Aid as we did, or other regular ones for less money, you’ll find loading this one is awful. The spacing is weird so you can’t put nearly as many cups and glasses in the upper slider. The spacing is weird down below also, the tines are angled funny so unless all your plates and things are the exact same shape, they interfere with each other. Pans don’t fit below hardly at all, and there are other impediments to loading in the lower area. The biggest joke — watch the videos and such where they show you using the very top thin slide to lay silverware — ha! It’s clumsy, time consuming, the silverware isn’t cleaned — don’t do what they suggest, folks. As soon as we win the lottery or get an inheritance, this thing is gone! Never again — we paid like 300 more for it than a fine Kitchen Aid, only to be unhappy every day. We do like two features: (1) the drying system that isn’t just a real hot burner (that we would never use anyway) and works well; and (2) the machine is extremely quiet. For those two reasons this machine got two stars instead of one.

This product is awful
As a prior fan of Bosch appliances I purchased my second dishwasher from you on the premise that it would be reliable and basically adequate at the price point which is considerably higher than other brands. As it turns out Bosch is incapable of making a dishwasher where the size of the rack allows it to sit on rails adequately which makes the unit almost unusable and fails to clean dishes properly on the bottom rack.Despite this being a known problem there is no proactive reach out to customers and we are forced to call and deal with the rudest most unhelpful customer service department I’ve ever encountered.I will never buy a Bosch product again. Truly awful.

Lots of problems with design
Dishes don’t dry like it did in my old Bosch even though it’s supposed to be lacking a heater. our old one dried the dishes better. The silverware tray is too small and moves around. Had a bad install from Home Depot because they didn’t send the proper screws to install. Really disappointed in Bosch they’ve gone downhill in a big way.

100 series — very similar
All of the problems mentioned by others? Same — dishes not drying completely, and silverware always wet and having to hand dry. Dirty water in the filter basket drain (?). Silverware baskets not able to sit properly, due to poor design.We called Bosch, and got a tech out. And the solutions? And as a note, the Tech got on the phone with Bosch rep directly and followed instructions over the phone.1. Use only Finish dish soap with special triple action chemicals. Why? Apparently the Bosch DW are designed for the Finish special detergent. So much for low water, low energy, save the world efficiency. All I want are clean dishes without special, special treatment.2. Must use — I repeat — must use Finish Jet dry, not exceptions. Yep, another chemical additive.3. Tech increased the dry time by 30 minutes — a special setting — so much for energy efficiency. The Tech gave us special instructions for undoing this added time just in case we decide not use it.4. Dirty water left behind in the Filter drain? Normal, we are told. What? So, it is normal for the dish washing to leave behind dirty water after it rinses cleaned dishes with last rinse? I brought this up three times, and the same answer — That’s normal.5. Silverware baskets (2) not fitting properly, not locking in? The tech got down and pressed them into place — literally forcing the basket hooks to connect. They still do not fit — very poor design.Solution: Use special brand, Finish, detergent cubes, and be sure to use Jet Dry every time, crank up the drying time, ignore the dirty water left behind — oh, and make sure to clean filter. I have to say, the one thing really nice about this machine is the filter in the bottom – it is easy to access, and remove for cleaning — really easy,, which is nice. And it is on the quiet side.

Garbage Product & Garbage Bosch Warranty
Ran for 1 month after installation. Started getting odd text on the screen then it shut down. They sent the repair person, could not repair. Sent parts, could not repair, sent more parts, could not repair. They refuse to give a refund nor to send a new dishwasher. I guess perhaps they might after I’ve waited 6 months. It’s been over a month already. They have no clue how to repair this piece of garbage. Now I just want a refund, but the tech on the phone just reads their script to me.

Horrible dishwasher – worse than Bosch 100
We upgraded from a Bosch 100 to a Bosch 500 and are extremely disappointed. How is the nicer Bosch actually a worse dishwasher? It takes longer and cleans worse. So, so disappointed with this purchase.
