For small spaces this Toaster Oven beats All!
I purchased this Breville toaster oven after researching plenty of review sites. As opinions go, every site had its own opinion of the best toaster oven, so I made my choice based on my needs. Those needs were: SMALL to fit in a limited counter space. Good even toasting, to replace an existing pop-up toaster with limited functionality. Attractive, with quality appearance and excellent functionality. We were not disappointed! This smallest Breville easily bakes a 12″ pizza, evenly toasts bagels, muffins and flat bread sandwiches, “airfry” potatoes and frozen treats, and warms dinners without having to wait for the main oven to warm up! In all, this was a great buy and a great replacement for the old pop-up toaster on our counter. Highly recommended.

I LOVE my Breville Smart Oven!!!
I hemmed and I hawed and I didnt want to spend so much or add something so big to the kitchen. But I’m SO glad I got this little Breville oven! It works perfectly, comes with very nice trays, and makes a nearly professional bagel! Yes it heats up quite a lot on the outside so I’m being careful about maintaining the 4″ space around it while its running. When not in use, I keep it unplugged, as recommended. It has a LOT of settings but the buttons are easy to use and the book tells all about it. I like the chunky coolness of the handle and the door is easy to look thru. All in all, its GREAT!

Loved it for 2 years then bottom element stopped working
UPDATED 11/2024: I loved this little oven for 2 years but the bottom element stopped heating. My extended warranty I purchased worked like a charm and I’m hoping the next Breville will last longer.Original review:I spent hours reading reviews here, as well as Consumer Reports, when it came time to replace my 2006 vintage Cuisinart. I had really hoped to find a compact toaster oven with an interior light, but those only seem to be offered on the larger higher-end models which would not fit in my garage. I had narrowed everything down to Cuisinart or Breville, and decided in the end to go with this one. Here’s what I like:1. Consistent heating… it actually makes good toast which is evenly toasted on both sides. The first for a toaster oven!2. Super easy to use – no need to even read the manual. Just turn the knob to what you want to cook and click “start”. Easy to adjust time (not sure what issues others had) as well as temperature.3. Right side does not get hot. The left side of this oven and the top get very hot, but the right side which is not too far from my wall stays cool. The optional $25 cutting board for the top helps dissipate heat.4. Works like a microwave. Older ovens you set the temperature and mode (bake, toast) and then waited. This oven you tell it what you are cooking, it sets the presets, and then you just click start and it begins preheating and a timer countdown. Easy and there’s no danger of forgetting to turn it off. It turns itself off when the countdown is finished.5. It looks amazing. I hadn’t realized how dowdy my old Cusinart looks. This Breville is a beauty. It’s too bad I have it behind closed doors in my kitchen. Two things I would have liked:1. Interior light. Please! My next oven will have one.2. Auto slide out rack. It would be nice if the rack would “present” itself and slide out a bit when you open the door. I have no issues with the door slamming as others have mentioned so maybe they have fixed that issue in product updates.Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and for $150 I think it’s a great deal.

Almost perfect toaster oven
There are toaster oven people and then the rest.. I’m a toaster oven person. Use it everyday. And I can’t even guess how many I’ve had.I replaced an OK Cuisinart toaster oven with this one that is the best I’ve used in a while.Size: it is perfect for me I can warm up 3 large pizza slices or make a sheet of about 12 cookies. And best of all it is smallish and fits smartly under my cabinet.Controls: they are much more intuitive than other TO’s I’ve had lately. You use the knobs to select function and then the other to set time and darkness. If anything I think it has a bunch of options that you don’t need. But it is simple enough for my simple mind:)Cooking: as I’ve found with all of these ovens you have to test them out are times to get the temperature rhythm. It must be pretty close because this one unlike the last two Cuisinarts that I’ve had does not burn unless I leave the items in too long or set the temp too high. Cookies come out good, but I just bake them and don’t use the setting. I tried it twice and had mixed results. Toast is also good. This is a good point to mention it is important to move the rack to the right spot to get best results. I’m kinda lazy so I hated doing it at first but now I see the benefit and want good results.Design: overall good, but the knots are kinda wobbly and cheap looking. I’ve seen better knobs on an Oster.Convection fan: I use it regularly. It makes noise and I’ll be surprised if it lasts (per other reviews)So only cons are cheap knobs and noisy convection fan (1 star off for these things)Final thoughts, I like Brevelle in general and am optimistic that this one will be my forever toaster oven.. if that’s a thing

Hands down the best toaster oven
Had one of these before and knew I wanted a Breville if I ever needed a toaster oven. However, this is more of a mini-oven which becomes very important when you only have a single oven to cook and love to cook. This enables you to do smaller things and keep the large oven for necessary items. The convection version was a minimal price addition over the non-convection so I got the convection for versatility. It heats quickly and cooks evenly and quickly. Toast comes out perfect. It may take a few tries to find your desired settings but it is extremely reliable once you know what settings fit your taste. It comes with a broiling pan which comes in handy for cooking smaller meals. This is a very handy device to have in an active kitchen.

This is the second one we have bought. The first one was lost in a house fire that was not caused by the unit.I would not hesitate to recommend this oven to anyone.

Después de probar varios hornos “smart”, por fin el Breville funciona como lo publican. pan tostado, no quemado. buen control de temperatura para hornear. y el tamaño perfecto para un mini oven.
