Great for new puppy!
This product was super easy to set up and use. Our 12 week old lab learned to use it right away. Initially, we gave it a command name “Go Out Button” and directed him toward it to push (immediately opening the door to potty outside and getting lots of praise). Then, we progressed to putting a small treat on top of the button, with the same command and still lots of praise. After one week, he just goes over and pushes it to go outside! He gets lots of praise and an occasional treat to reinforce that it’s a good thing. Funny thing, our 5 year old Golden Retriever is now using it, too! There have been zero false alarms or just pushing it to get a reward. Money well spent.

Love it
My dog loves his doorbell. It did start malfunctioning after a freeze in Texas. (So, not really a freeze). We ordered a replacement. Will update review if there are any issues with the second one.We trained our pup by sneaking treats on top of the button while he was outside, so he would eat the treats and make the doorbell sound. We also made sure to press it ourselves before going in. I’m no dog trainer, but it worked!

Works great, but don’t get it if you have a snarky dog lol
Works great! Sticks nicely to my front door and the receiver works across the room. Had it for a few months and it hasn’t run out of batteries. My dog just needs to brush up against it and it’ll go off. I was worried she’d have to press harder but it’s perfect. Much to my dismay, she realized that she can abuse the button for anytime she sees a squirrel or a bird. My cat also saw how the button works and decided he wanted to go outside so he also rings the bell a lot. My only complaint is that no matter how many times you adjust the speaker sound, it stays loud. Other than that, it’s great!

any of these bells work great but this one–The Battery life is NOT as advertised
I have this for my smarty Silky Terrier.The seller advertises 3 YEAR BATTERY LIFE…NOT!!!. I have purchased (and like an idiot, repurchased again) this set of ringers for my girl. This last time after getting just 9 months from the product, I opened the bell and changed the battery–duh right, wrong. The battery was an identical swap out but the bell would not work. So I hesitate to buy yet another…INSANITY-the act of doing something over and over and expecting different results…lol

A whew way for your pet to communicate
It took less than half a day for my dog to figure out how to use this device. He positively loves it, and as long as I come open the door, I don’t need to worry about peering in the house.However, he also knows that he gets a treat when he comes inside, so he started gaming me by dinging the bell, running outside, then right back in, waiting for his treat. Otherwise, it’s a perfect tool for poet training.Note that despite the product details, it does NOT take AAA batteries. You need to order 23A batteries, which are available on Amazon fairly cheaply. They seem to last about a year.

Misbehaving After 2 Months
I learned early on that you cannot reposition these at all. Be very cautious that where you place it. In addition the dog can knock them off with their claws and then you lose all of your backing that way as well . The glue sticks really well to the glass window but everything comes off the back. I learned today that when you try to remove it super carefully by slipping a knife in-between the velcro to check the battery because it’s going off constantly with no one and nothing near it, you lose all of your backing and your product is not good unless you have double back tape at home. Trying to peel it off left all of the backing on the glass window. I had to scrape the windows to get all the glue off then had to buy double back tape to reattach it. I’m not real happy with this product. It works somewhat while it’s working and then it will drive you crazy when it’s not.
