How long does the battery last from one charge? How to unlock Smart Lock G1 when the battery dies?
G1 uses a 10000mAh battery that can provide power for 180 days (depending on usage). In case of low battery, the equipped key can also be used to unlock the door or the power bank can be used for emergency charging.
Can this lock act as a video doorbell?
Yes, G1 has a camera that can see clearly at night and day. You can watch the outside of the door in real time through the Tuya APP. Doorbell presses trigger video calls to the user’s phone, enabling two-way communication.
How is the waterproof effect? Is it higher than other IP53?

Works just as good as eufy ones with one catch.
For starters, this works as well as the eufy video doorbell deadbolts for about HALF the cost. The fact that it uses the tuya app is also a huge plus, since that is the largest app for controlling Chinese products like this out there, is very well designed & supported, and even makes it so that if you’re incredibly technically inclined, you can even find ways to integrate this with third party systems like home assistant.One milldly annoying thing that also exists in other brands systems like this (E.g. eufy) is that you can only have five admin users, which may not be enough for some people. For example, I put one of these on a large shared maker space type of building. There’s seven people who want admin rights, so the only way to make them all happy was to effectively share an admin account. This takes away individual accountability for the highest privileged users though. It says you can have 195 regular users and so far, I’ve added about 70 without issue, so I believe you really can count on the limits stated, and honestly more than generous amount of regular users you can add.It seems to use standard 13khz rfid tags, which you can pick up about 100 of for under 20 bucks. It works with my own own one I have for another door system, so that was wonderful. Video is ultra clear and as long as you have an existing deadbolt, installation is incredibly simple.As for the catch I mentioned? If you want or need more physical keys, you need to have the back edge of the key cut back more than usual. The front logo cover over the keyhole swivels off and gets in the way of a standard key copy. There doesn’t appear to be a good way to remove it either, without breaking off the clip it swivels on. So just keep in mind that if you want more keys, one side of the back of a standard house key copy will need to be cut back an additional “two nickels” worth of thickness, to make it so you can actually turn the key without the swivel cover getting in the way. Again, probably not an issue for most people, but it was a bit annoying to find this out and need to modify the additional keys with a dremel.Overall, I can’t really even justify knocking a star off for the above issue though, since this is working very reliably and has been for over a week now. Oh, and besides the manual key override, there’s an emergency USB C power port on the bottom in the front so you can provide power to this device in case the batteries go out on you. Ive seen a lot of brands that only do that on the inside of the door, so huge props to these guys for taking the time and attention to detail to do that from the outside as well here. Thank you for making a REALLY good, affordable door lock!

All the features i want
Bought this lock as it was affordable and had all the features i wanted.. video to see who is there and no keys. It was easy to install however set up was a littlw tricky. It takes me a few trys to grt into the settings to add people or change things. I have set it to not auto lock but it keeps going back to that setting. That is really the only complaint. Im hopeing it has a great battery as i dont think the lock works if the battery is removed.

Worth the cost with all that you get with it.
Normally I would say this is a little high for 1 door lock but this is not a normal door lock at all so I have to say it is worth the money. Not only is it a lock, but you have the door camera built in as well as the app to watch through it at any time you want or need to along with alerts to let you know when someone is near it. Then you have the many ways to access it without having to use a key & if you were like me before I had gotten a regular one of these with just the keyless entry you might say big deal. I have found this to be such a cool thing now as I can leave push a button & lock it then go do anything I need to in my house or over at the property next door without having to worry about anyone in my garage. So I have people who like to nose around while I am overdoing this in the past but this totally stops that as well ax at any time I need to go in real quick an do anything or grab a tool I just enter the code real quick in a few seconds I am in an back out so the speed, as well as convenience, is awesome as well as the ability to keep people out for me personally this is worth it & I would recommend it.

Piece of junk.
The first one I ordered was damaged and I had to send it back. I got a replacement but I also need to send it back. Easy to install but impossible to program. I’ve had 3 other people try to get it to program. We watched multiple YouTube videos and nothing worked. I can’t keep a deadbolt lock/ camera system that doesn’t work.I would recommend a different brand that more user friendly.

The security features are excellent, with automatic locking, an anti-peep password, and an alarm system that activates after multiple failed attempts, providing strong protection against unauthorized access.The hardware is exceptionally well-built, and the device itself features a solid aluminum alloy structure that feels durable and high quality, yet lightweight, weighing only about 2 pounds.
