Frigidaire Customer Service was top notch
Had this installed and used it for almost 1 year. From day 1 the largest (rightmost) Induction element wasn’t heating up as fast as the other elements. It still worked but at about 1/2 power. Near the end of the warranty I called Frigidaire service. They had someone out to my house the very next day. The technician tested the element and it would not come to a boil in 2.5 minutes using a pot that filled the element. He opened it up and saw that the coil/element was a little loose on one side and he tightened it down. He explained that sometimes the people who install them put them on their edge rather than keep them flat and parts can become loose and dislodged. After putting it all back together the same pot with the same amount of water heated up to full rolling boil in a little over 2 minutes. The magnetic field that heats the pot thru the glass was affected drastically by just being a couple of millimeters loose on one side. I don’t know anything about a Lock Feature on my unit ergo the 3 out of 5 rating for that feature. Before I purchased this I read a few bad reviews mostly concerning Frigidaire’s Customer service. My experience shows that they’ve improved their game – Top Notch! Love the product! Would recommend.

Unreliable Product, Awful Service
The first time I had burners go out was two months after purchase. Frigidaire would not RMA a new unit. Therefore, even though it was under warranty, it took 2 months to get repaired. One year and 6 months in, two of the 4 burners went out. Out of warranty. This is a cooktop that can only have manufacturer’s defects; it is completely sealed so there is nothing I could have done to cause the problem. On hold for an hour or so for Frigidaire service. Had to prepay $120 and wait 3 weeks for an appointment to have a tech come diagnose (all electronic, only one thing it can be). When asked if this was a common problem techs said said it’s new technology and unreliable. I don’t agree, but Frigidaire is starting to make me question myself. They ordered the parts I pressed Frigidaire to stand by their product and got them to cover the parts, but had to prepay another $180 for the installation. Another 3 weeks before an appointment was available. Day of appointment I had a 4 hour window, no show, no notice. Another hour on hold to be told the appointment was canceled because one of three parts hadn’t arrived. Was told parts were prepped to ship and when they arrived I would be contacted to make an appointment for installation. Out $300, going on 2 more months without a cooktop, and no idea when it will be repaired. Love it when it works, but in my experience, either this produce was not ready for distribution, or I got a lemon and Frigidaire won’t stand by their product. This is their top end cooktop and if this is the way they treat their customers, I will never buy one again.

Do NOT buy this!!!!
This cooktop worked well for about a month then gave an error code and hasn’t worked since. We contacted Frigidaire and they sent a repair man. Two visits and a month later it’s still not working. Frigidaire will not give us our money back or let us return it until the repairman gets MORE parts and tries to fix it a 3rd time!!! We are currently waiting on parts to arrive (no one can tell us how long it will take for them to get here) so the repairman can try again. I had no cooktop for a thanksgiving and now looking at no cooktop for Christmas! And Frigidaire doesn’t care! If I could give this 0 stars, I would! Bad Service. Defective Product. Don’t buy!!!!!

Best Induction
This was our second Induction cooktop. Our previous one had touch controls with a single movable magnetic knob in case your hands were wet. This was one of the reasons we didn’t like a touch sensitive cooktop. When your finger are wet, it is difficult to make changes on the cooktop. This Frigidaire model was the answer to our prayers. No more issues while cooking, even if fingers are wet. The controls are easy to adjust and you can see the power level when turning the knob, via digital readout. The best part of this cooktop is the coating on the top which makes clean-up so much easier than our previous model. We are loving this cooktop and are hoping that Frigidaire will always offer a real knob controlled induction cooktop.

Vendor came through, but Frigidaire was awful
We received a defective induction cook-top in October. An authorized Frigidaire repair company said that 1 of 2 parts was on back-order. After 3 months, we tried to contact Frigidaire, but their phone system is entirely automated. It was impossible to find out if we could get a replacement or a refund.Initially, the vendor said that we could not return it since it was outside the 30 day return window. However, after learning that Frigidaire was unresponsive, the vendor provided us with a return authorization.I would purchase from this vendor again, but I will not buy any Frigidaire products in the future.

Broke after 8 months. Frigidaire does not honor warranties.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FRIGIDAIRE.It was nice at first, but two of the 4 burners quit working after 8 months. When you call Frigidaire’s number, they say they can’t take your call. Not to wait on hold, that they will not answer the phone. The stainless steel also scratches very easily. Absolute garbage.Update: i finally got Frigidaire to send someone out to fix it. They said without warranty, it would have been a $1000 fix. It took 3 weeks for parts to arrive and it only worked for 3 weeks after that ( one of those weeks we were on vacation, so 2 weeks of actually usage). The exact same burners are broken as before. I’m praying i can get an exchange or refund before the warranty runs out.Update 2: I did get them to come out and fix it under the original warranty. I was able to buy an extended warranty from Frigidaire because i know what a pile of crap this thing is. I turned it on the other day and it made a loud BOOM and is not working again It has now broken 3 times in 15 months. I’ve been waiting for parts for two weeks now. I bought a hotplate since I know this cooktop will continue to break.

Dead burners after 2 months
This thing is great, but seems to be poor quality. Two of the burners are no longer operable after 3 months of normal use.
