    fantastic, durable, sleek & practical!!
first of all, I have loved Garmin for a very very long time. I even gifted my boyfriend the Solar Instinct last year because I didn’t want him to get an apple watch, but Garmin instead 😆. this was a step up from my Garmin Forerunner 35 and WOW have I waited so long for this. to be honest I waited and waited to buy a new Garmin watch because I knew that whenever I did I would be simultaneously retiring my previous watch, and i wasn’t emotionally ready for that. but BOY does this watch make it easy to fall in love with. I can’t love it more. I like gym workouts, running, hiking, yoga and other stuff here and there like golf or stairstepping. this watch can track it all, hold a battery life for 2 weeks, tell me all the stats I want to see, give live notifications of calls and texts, connect to my calorie counting app (myfitnesspal), even detect and track my naps which it does very accurately. i’m so impressed and so happy I finally pulled the trigger on it. 10/10 very happy with this purchase.

    Best running watch ever!
I bought the Garmin Forerunner® 965 as a gift for myself and I couldn’t be happier with it. It has everything I need for my running and triathlon training, such as GPS, heart rate, VO2 max, recovery time, and more. It also syncs with my phone and Garmin Connect app, where I can see all my stats and achievements. The battery life is amazing, it lasts for weeks on a single charge. The design is sleek and comfortable, and the screen is easy to read even in bright sunlight. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about running or triathlon.Pros:- Accurate and reliable GPS and heart rate- Lots of features and metrics for running and triathlon- Long battery life- Sleek design and comfortable fit- Easy to use and sync with phone and appCons:- A bit pricey, but worth it

    Life changer.
I recently started my running journey and this watch was essential. It has all the features you can ever imagine it. The battery last 15-18 days for me. It has a great design and is very functional. I know it’s not a cheap watch but I believe it’s worth its value.

    Love it!
Loved my Fenix 6s, but wanted the touchscreen and a few other features this watch has. I was worried about the bigger screen size on my small wrist, but it looks fine and is easier to see. The quality and features are what I wanted, and I am happy with the purchase.

Battery lasts 10x longer than apple watch
Bought this for my wife, she likes it as the battery lasts forever compared to apple’s one day life. Text messages from an iPhone are not seemlesss like the Apple Watch, but most other features you would expect from a smart watch are there. It’s big.

Overall, Great. Two Small Problems for Me Personally
For context, I moved from using a Forerunner 735 for running and the Lily for daily activity tracking to just using the Forerunner 965 for both. My 735 was a few years old, and had some expected battery degradation, and no longer was sufficient as I got into ultra running. The battery life is fantastic. I run 10-14 hours per week, walk usually 3 or 4 hours, plus occasional bike rides, strength sessions, etc. and I only need to charge every 10-ish days or so. I haven’t run an ultra in it yet, but have one coming up, so I’ll update if anything noteworthy happens there. I don’t have the overnight pulse-ox on, as that does use significant battery. The display is pretty intuitive, and with customizations on your glances, etc. it’s easy to see the data you want to see.It is very large. Not an issue, but especially moving from my daily activity tracker being the much smaller Lily, and me having a fairly small wrist, it felt a little like I was wearing something out of Spy Kids at first. I’ve grown used to it now, and it’s not an issue, but it was an adjustment. The two smallish issues that I have:1. I have tattoos on my wrists just behind the bone, which apparently interfere with the heart rate tracker. I wasn’t expecting this, b/c the tattoos aren’t new, and I did not have this issue with the 735 or the Lily. That said, I just scoot it back like a quarter inch, and it’s fine, but that does mean that I have to wear the watch tighter than I prefer. Not a huge problem, but kind of annoying especially since it wasn’t an issue on previous models.2. Despite the fact that I have to wear the watch tighter than I normally would, any time my skin gets wet…like when I sweat on a run or a walk, or use it to track a swim, it slides a little bit on my arm, and loses my heart rate again, so I have to remember to tighten it another notch before activities. This likely would not be a problem without the tattoo, so for most people it probably won’t be an issue.I have also had an issue getting music onto the watch, but I imagine that’s user error, not an issue with the watch itself.

    Garmin does it
As usual, Garmin makes a do-all model. The 965 is way more than I could want or even need. However, this model was on-sale about a month ago so I bought it. I wanted more metrics for my cycling to enhance my Edge and the 965 did it. I know it is traditionally a runners watch but it was refined in the cycling aspect so having a Vivoactive 4 that would eventually need an upgrade…..I just did it.I love the larger screen and layout of the apps and widgets but most importantly the watch gives a bit better functionality over my previous watch. So overall without going way deep with talking, look at the features for your needs and if they are needed, buy this watch.

Used both Google watch pixel 2, pixel 3. And comparing to apple Ultra 2.Battery life blows the competition straight out of the water. The watch predicts up to 23 days of battery life and so far with excessive use of notifications and smart features and non-stop health tracking. The accuracy of the battery tracking has stayed in line with what is projected. In terms of fitness and health tracking, there are so many different ways the watch can track your activity. It has skipping rope. It has fitness like lifting boxing, running, mountain climbing. It is ridiculous compared to the pixel watch or the Apple watchesIn terms of build quality, the watch is made out of plastic with rubbery straps and an allegedly titanium bezel around the screen, mine has already accumulate d scratches. The screen is just regular mineral glass of some sort and it will scratch if you don’t put a screen protector on. This is not a sapphire screen on the 965 so be aware that scratches can happen if the screen is not protectedMy biggest recommendation is replacing the strap with perhaps a velcro strap that does not have loop holes. The rubber sits tight snugly against your wrist and it sort of irritates my skin. I think I got an allergic reaction to it. So because of that reason I would highly recommend using a cloth strap so that your skin does not have any reaction, especially when sweating. It has partial smartphone features integration. Where to some notifications that arrive, you can respond with generic messages or you can create a custom message, but you cannot type up a message or speak into the watch to type up a message. It’s not like a smartwatch that’s like a pixel or an Apple watch in that regard. You can also answer phone calls but the watch itself does not have a microphone so it just picks up the call on your phone and you have to reach for your phone and answer there. Not very useful especially if you are trying to answer on your watch and your phone is in another room or not close to you.The 24-hour health monitoring is by comparison very accurate to some other devices that are on the market such as the Google pixel or the Apple watch. However, I feel that the Garmin health tracking is slightly more precise and more accurate in predicting your sleep patterns and energy levels. It seems that my Garmin is far more accurate at tracking my sleep cycles, then the Google pixel because there is a discrepancy of 1 hour and I have accurate account of when I fall asleep and when I wake up and I can certainly say that the garmin is far more accurate.Overall, buying the watch on sale was a really good decision. It has provided me with everything I needed in terms of fitness tracking. I do a lot of running and try to get better and this has coaching programs that are far superior compared to other competition. YMMV

The watch has a great look, easy to use, lots of exercise functionalities, big screen, clean image and better to ready texts messages or emails. This is more focus for people that exercises frequently and helps a lot with the trainings. My wife has the Apple series 8 and bought this Garmin. My battery lasts 9 days without charging and I use a lot during the day. Her battery lasts 1.5 days.
