    Worth it
Have been using it since the past 6 months. So far no issues yet. At the highest level, food heats up pretty quick and thus saves a lot of time.Note that some induction utensils from outside USA might not be compatible with it.

    Just what I needed
With a big family we needed an extra burner and this one works perfectly. It will automatically turn off if the proper pots and pans aren’t being used with it which I’m fine with. This item is easy to clean and operate. My husband said he likes how it just has the two prongs for plugging in and not three which makes it more versatile for what he prefers. 10/10 would recommend.

    Works Great!
I have used an induction cooktop for many years and had to replace it. I was a little confused by the 1-10 power settings, and was using only temperature to cook with. If you can learn the temps for low, medium low, medium, medium high, high and sear, the power levels are a cinch. Now I cook with the power levels. It turns off and on easily, and the modes are easy to set. I like the timer as it turns the cooktop off when the time is up. The boost button will turn it up to power level 10 for 30 seconds, then back to original level. The main thing I’m not really happy about is the lowest temperature is not low enough. It starts at 175, but if you want to melt chocolate or maintain a warm sauce, it should be anywhere from 110-140. At the same time though, the temp set for the cooktop is actually the temp of the cooktop, not what’s in the pot. I haven’t had to melt for candy yet, so I can’t say for sure it is not low enough.Overall I really enjoy using this. It is easy to operate, cooks the food evenly, and easy to clean. It’s a very good value for the money. I would recommend this to beginners as well as seasoned users.

Perfect for use at the campground
Perfect addition to our camper cooking tools. We love this and the fact it heats up quick and is not hot to the touch.

You MUST have induction compatible cookware or it won’t heat.
Fair warning: You must know that your cookware is induction compatible because the burner will not heat if you do not. I assumed my copper clad stainless would be compatible and it isn’t. I had to place a cast iron griddle on the burner until I purchased compatible cookware. This is clearly stated in the description, so it is my assumptions that got me in trouble here, but wow, this is a nice unit. The burner heats up quickly and it couldn’t be any easier to clean. The controls are easy to use, though I do recommend reading the instructions. There are a few settings that will make using it more efficient and responsive to your cooking needs. The area near the controls stays cool too so making adjustments as you are cooking is easy.If you already know that your cookware is induction compatible, this is a great option. If it is not and you prefer to use your copper/stainless steel cookware, the style with the cast iron burner will be a more economical option.

A great value for the price
I was surprised that it seems to very noticeably “cycle” off and on a lot, significantly raising and lowering the temperature/power each time, not that that’s really a problem, but infinitely variable control like any resistance or gas stove would be much better. Is this the difference between this “economy” inductance stovetop and the other, much more expensive models? If not, then what IS the difference??As another reviewer wrote, “It has timed cycles like microwaves, not power levels”, I think this is a correct description; but is this true of all inductance cooktops? I’d like to know!It will NOT heat the edges of a 10″ pan nor pot very well. The dirty little secret of inductance cooktops seems to be that the internal coils are very small, probably less than 6″; Amazon needs to require sellers to write more useful descriptions rather than just endless, unhelpful marketing drivel. All the same, I’m glad I bought it , and I would buy it again! There’s a learning curve, this being my first inductance stovetop, especially with the choice of either setting the desired temperature or the desired “power level”. It’s is very tricky setting a pot of soup to simmer without either over-or under-powering it. Now I see why some models have what I thought was a ridiculous 20 power levels to choose from; continuously variably via a real or virtual dial control would be better. Now that I know I want an inductance cooktop, I’m shopping for a 2 or 3 burner, 240 volt one I can inset into my countertop; I’ll definitely want one that let’s me choose between setting temperature and setting the power level, OR that offers a huge selection of fine power settings. and I think these should be designed to offer fine-tuning right around the range where I want to simmer a pot of stew or whatever…The biggest issue is that the coil diameter (the coil is hidden, but you can tell it’s small)- because the edges of my 10″ frying pan and 6-qt. pot don’t heat up adequately, requiring constant stirring, and omelets raw around the edges. But, Amazon, YOU HAVE GOT TO POLICE THE CARELESS, VAGUE, AND MISLEADING PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS in most listings. Product descriptions for so many items are expanding into sleazy-looking piles of SPAM, strewn randomly with unrelated but similar-looking things, making Amazon shopping a big headache. YOUR CUSTOMERS DESERVE BETTER!! One two-burner inductance stove errantly listed the power source as “gas”; the seller acknowledged the mistake, but did not correct it.-I say this because as I am trying to select a good inductance stovetop to inset into my countertop, I’m gong to be stuck with it for a long time, and the listings are long and misleading, too often written by marketing folks without the slightest understand of basic units of measurement and parameters that buyers might find useful.

    Works perfectly
I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a while and finally the price was low enough to try one while it doesn’t work with every pan I have they include a magnet to test which pans will work. I’ll have to get used to the temp controls. And yes there’s a smell but it’s not a deal breaker after all that’s what exhaust fans are for. I highly recommend if you want a give the tech a try. I will use it a lot in the summer rather than my gas stove

Last year I unplugged my stove and now using two induction cook tops and a counter top convection oven. Checking my Power bills over the next few months I found that I was saving 35% on my power bill.Originally I purchase a Heritage Cooktop from Canadian Tire which work for over a year until it didn’t. Checking the warranty found that it expired a month before it broke.Bought the Hamilton Beach 34104 portable induction cooktop to replace the one which broke and found that they offer 5yr warranty to Canadians! The product works great and is easier to use then the one it replace. The rings of the cooktop are bigger then the cooktop it replaced and the heat is much more even in the frying pan.Using cookware made for induction cook tops you can damage andor warp the pan if you cook with high heat. This was difficult with my old cook top because it would turn on at 450F and I would have to quickly turn it down. Ruined several frying pans this way. But the Hamilton Beach 3410 turn on at 175F and I can turn it up to the desired heat. The timer feature is really easy to use and I can set the time required. Last night I made made a meal that said to cook for 10 minutes and after it was set at a low boil I was able to walk away. What is missing is the fact you can not set temperature at 220F the boiling temperature. With my old cooktop I would set it at 220F the pot would cycle off and on insuring a boil without burning. The closes you can get on this cooktop is 200F or 225F, so if you are trying to boil something like soup you have to be careful not to burn what you are making. Also would be nice if the lowest temperature was 130F to keep the post warm. The lowest temperature is 175F

Adoro mi parrilla esta súper linda y ahorra mucho de electricidad, creo que ya no usare la estufa convencional, teniendo esta maravilla, lo único que no tengo más trastes para usar con inducción, pero voy a conseguir porque vale mucho la pena
