Holy Smokes! I can finally roll out my pie crust correctly!!
I love to bake, but there is NO WAY that I am rolling out my dough on my countertops – cuz I have cats! As such, I’ve always tried to roll my dough on my extra large cutting board, but the flour (for not sticking) would always go over the place the countertops. Then the perfect circle was always a nebulous feat of trial and error until my dough was too worn out to make a flaky crust.Enter this thing of beauty! This was love at first site! This silicone miracle rolls out easily onto the countertop and displays the perfect pie dough measurements. Think dessert pie and pizza pie! Plus, there is PLENTY of room surrounding the area for your base flour or tools. There’s also room to put your rolling pin, so you don’t have to put that on the bare countertop when not using. There’s also lots of room to roll out dough for cookies, an extra large batch of scones, or even for kneading bread. The possibilities are endless.There are also handy dandy measuring tools on the sides and conversions. It also comes with what looks like a snap bracelet from the 80s, to wrap around the mat after you roll it up.I love kitchen tools and this is my new favorite!

It’s good!
My husband and I made chocolate chip cookies on it. It cleaned up beautifully. I don’t think we got any burnt cookies. I wish I had a cookie sheet this big so I didn’t have to fudge it and use my largest pizza pan. I don’t know if you need the baking sheet under but one can never be too careful with CCC🍪. I love that there are conversion charts on it. I love the slap bracelet (ageing myself there) it comes with to hold it closed for easy storage. My older one needs one, though an old Tupperware cup does in a pinch.Nice and large. Lots of circle sizes to roll your dough out.I’ll update with longer use on long term durability

Almost Exactly What I Wanted
This review is for a 16” X 24” Kitchenraku Silicone Pastry Mat. I was really excited to get this mat, because it has graphics printed on it that make it easier to make crusts. Unfortunately, the graphics aren’t correct. The crust circles are 1” smaller than claimed. In other words, what is printed as a 12” circle really measures only 11”. Metric measurements are also short by about 2.5 cm.The inch scales on the edges of the mat are correct, with the 0 origin at the mat edge. The metric scales are about 2 cm off when measured from the mat edge. Temperature conversions are close enough.This mat is functionally equivalent to my Silpat, with mat thickness being the same. At less than half the price of a comparable size Silpat, it’s a bargain… as long as you don’t need the measurements.

Releases you from a Sticky situation!!
Wow, this mat is a wonderful product. If you love to bake, cook or do crafts this what you need.You receive a huge 15×22.5 inch silicone mat. Nothing sticks! There are conversions from some metric measurements to USA measurements. There is a dough measurement area in the middle for rolling out dough to the wanted size. There’s even oven temp conversions. Then a ruler on the top, side and bottom.I use the mat on my kitchen island when baking. I only use a small amount of flour to dust the mat. Nothing sticks, it’s easy to clean, you can wipe it with a damp cloth or roll it up and take it to the sink to wash. It really gives you a nice working space. For those that use hot glue guns doing crafts, this is perfect to catch the after drops of the glue. Then when it’s cooled, it pops right off. It even comes with a snap right holder to wrap it when you get ready to store it. Or you can store it flat. What a wonderful product, actually I got 2, one in black and one in red.

Amateur Baker
I don’t claim to be a baker, but I do like to bake, not always with great success as I sometimes experiment. This mat is very easy and convenient to use. I picked the size I wanted and it came very quickly. The mat has a slight odor when first taking it out, but no more than expected. I Once you wash it up it seems to dissipate. I used it right away to prepare some biscuits. We love biscuits in my household. The mat was great; the dough didn’t stick to the mat and at teh same time, the mat didn’t move around on my island while I was making the dough and “cutting” my biscuit rings.. I haven’t used this part yet, but I’m sure the measuring chart will be helpful for sizing. It basically meets/exceeds expectations. I could not be happier. I will have to see if it holds up over time, but I can come back to update if issues arise.

I am beginning to bake and use my bread maker regularly. I didn’t have a mat before so I can’t really compare it, but the silicone material is similar to my cookie sheets and those have lasted years – I imagine this one will too. I love all the extra conversions and the pie measurements. Pictured is a pizza crust and having the right tool for the job made it so much more fun. It also came with a little wrap for when you’re storing the mat. Remember those slap bracelets? It brought me right back to my pre teen years but it’s a smooth touchable silicone coating over it. You roll up the mat right and wrap the little silicone band around it and it’s a beaut in the drawer. This is a really high quality item to add to any bakers kitchen!

Great – only one problem
This is very easy to use. It stays in place and is easy to clean. It’s nice and thick and should hold up well.We had two issues with it.1. It would be nice if the pie dough circle went to a larger size.2. The circle marked 12″ is really around 11″ (all the others are smaller than marked as well)Number 2 is odd because the markings around the perimeter of the mat are correct. I noticed that another user had a mat that had different markings, but I can’t tell if they are correct.I gave it 4 stars but it would be 5 stars if not for issue number 2.
