Ease of use and time saving.
I am an 84 year old Great Grandmother. I just ordered the insta pot because my 87 year old brother has one and loves it. So far I have only used it about four times and I am very pleased with how well it works. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection! I highly recommend it to everyone who loves cooking.

Love it
This is my favorite kitchen appliance. This is my fourth Instant Pot. The only reason I’ve had so many is from moving and traveling internationally, one in the US, one in the Netherlands and one in the UK so I sold old ones and got new ones (usually used on FB market) with the correct voltage/plugs. Now I’m back in the US and bought this new version.I don’t really have a use for most settings, I just use pressure cook and sauté for the most part, so having the original or basic version is just as good as this 7-in-1 version in my opinion, it’s nicer looking though.I save money because it uses less electricity than the oven or stove. I also save money by buying dried beans which are super cheap and with the IP there is no overnight soaking or any soaking at all if you don’t want to. All together it takes less than two hours for half a pound of dried beans.Great for soups and stews. I don’t eat meat but I pressure cook meat for my dog’s food in it and it works well for that. It steams huge sweet and regular potatoes easily. Can be used for rice, quinoa or cous cous, although for grains and rice I find it works better for large quantities. The keep warm function and delayed start are really useful too.I received it quickly with no issues.

Great looks, same functionality, but more space efficient!
Instant Pot did it again, as far as I am concerned. I upgraded from a 3-quart “mini” model to this one, which was possible in my very tight space in a 4th-floor appartment in the Bronx, because this one is slimmer than the original model, and I was able to fit it in with only minor adjustments.I love this brand and their customer service if you ever need it is par excellence.Comment to picture below: even on the old one (3-quart IP DuoMini), I had to close the lid when I used the Nutribullit that sits behind it, so that did not change. The only difference is that I need to have the handle of the Nutribullet on the left, with the smaller unit, I could also have it on the right. In short, it is entirely workable in my small space – on the top of the fridge.

Better Than the Instant Pot in many ways
This is in my opinion better than the instant pot in many ways 1. It gives you a clear progression bar – never have to guess which stage it in! 2. It gives so many convenient preset programs 3. It lets you control the temperature and the pressure and the timer. 4. It is easy to clean and the pressure release is safe and effective.

Terrible heat, terrible pressure building, equipment failures. Do not buy.
So my Instant Pot Duo Plus started getting burn alarms a lot (like preheating on saute with just oil in there) after about 3 years of heavy use so I decided to get a new Instant Pot. I’m a travel nurse and move every 3 months so the more package features (slimmer, disconnectable power plug, no nob) sold me on this one… and I’m supremely disappointed.First off, I’ve had it for 2 months – don’t use it as much during warm weather so wanted to make sure it wasn’t user error. I’ve done about 8 meals now and it’s miserable to use. Here are the primary issues so far:1) It takes a forever to heat up. Going from saute to ready to use takes easily 2x as long as my previous old one – over 10 minutes to reach “ready” status but I’m having smoke from avocado oil before that (high smoke temp). If you throw your stuff in early it cools expenontially and doesn’t get back to temp. It took me 20 minutes to brown 2lbs ground beef (after waiting 10, minutes for it to heat up and oild started to smoke).2) It takes absurd amounts of time to reach pressure. This is something every new user has a learning curve with – I’m a vet user so trust me when I say a long time – 30 to 45 minutes average. I’ve had it take over an 1 hour a few times. You might as well slow cook because this combined with issue 3 make trying to pressure cook tedious and useless.3) Equipment failures. So far the “steam bobber” (not sure of the real name) has stuck 2x requiring me to jiggle it loose so that it would pop up and it would actually start to build pressure. This initially happened on my second cook. This makes you have to constantly check on the thing on this already crazy long heat time and when you have to “help it” the stream is blasting out so hard you are at hight risk of burning yourself….Additionally, when using quick release it blasts out sauce/food from the vent requiring me to cover it with a paper towel to save the walls. These are the same recipes I used in the same quart size Duo Plus and never had this happen a single time.Basically I waited too long now to return it so as mentioned above this thing will likely be relegated to a glorified slow cooker and I’ll be looking to Ninja for my next pressure cooker because I can’t support a company that puts trash like this in the market because there is no way they didn’t know about these issues.

A handy item to have.
This is a good cooker. A little confusing with all the preset buttons, to get a manual setting you want. Wish it had a temp gauge! For the money it should.

Good option
I really like this Instant Pot. It is the perfect size for us. The biggest plus is you don’t have to worry about scratching up the inner liner with utensils that are not wooden or silicone.I previously had a difficult brand but prefer this one because it has more preprogrammed buttons.

The Instant Pot pressure cooker has truly transformed my cooking experience. It significantly reduces cooking times, allowing me to prepare meals in a fraction of the time it would normally take. The versatility of the appliance is impressive – it functions as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, and more, making it a one-stop solution for a variety of dishes. Whether I’m cooking a hearty stew or rice, the Instant Pot consistently delivers excellent results. Overall, it has made meal prep much faster, easier, and more efficient. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to streamline their cooking process.

Last night, I finally had the chance to use my new Instant Pot for the first time after having it for about a month. I took my time familiarizing myself with various articles, how-tos, and recipes from different sources. Among the suggestions I came across was the water test, which proved to be beneficial in gaining confidence using the pressure cook function. Starting with a simple recipe that required natural pressure release also helped ease me into the process.I opted for the RIO 6qt. model, and so far, the control panel seems fairly intuitive. While the user manual isn’t the most user-friendly, I found plenty of excellent resources online, making it less of an issue. I’m still in the learning phase, but I’m thoroughly enjoying exploring this new and exciting way of cooking. An update after nearly two months of owning the Instant Pot: I discovered a couple of things related to the slow cook function that I thought would be helpful to share. For slow cooking, the IP’s low, medium, and high settings correspond to warm, low, and high on a Crock Pot or slow cooker. So, when following a slow cooker recipe that says “cook for 8 hours on low,” set your IP to slow cook for 8 hours on medium. Additionally, it’s essential to have at least one cup of liquid in the pot when using the slow cook function, making sure not to exceed the fill line on the inside of the pot. These tips have made my slow cooking experience more enjoyable and efficient.

Ésta remplaza a mi vieja instant pot. Sino, nunca acaba o empieza el time.
