Glad I bought, feels like an upgrade. I like the Rio wide plus.
This company upgraded their pressure cookers. This is my 2nd pressure cooker for daily use, first was Cuisinart, which got the job done, but started to peel the non stick. My new Rio wide can fit 3 tortillas at once to fry, and it can still cook a small serving of beans. It also can handle a 14 lb turkey, if I pull it apart to 4 main pieces. The lid is great and is one piece, aside from a rubber liner, that I never need to mess with. It hardly ever gets dirty, mostly just condensation. The steel pot cleans up well, after 8 months of daily use, no oil stains. I just wish the TEMP and TIME buttons were more obvious or protruding, so I don’t have to read. Every once in a while pressing them, or feeling around for the cancel button, sometimes I push my whole cooker a few inches. Buttons could be better. Stir frying works well, but it does have a convex type bulge in the center, so sauce trickles to the edges, which is fine for me. I highly recommend the wide. It has plenty of room to push around stir fry meat so it cooks evenly and fast. I don’t need a designated slow cooker anymore because this also has “slow cook” mode. A lamb or Turkey with potatoes comes out easily pulling apart the meat after 4 or 5 hours. Sometimes Pressure cooking compresses the potatoes too much, but slow cook is an entirely different mode and potatoes and carrots come out better in stews. Eggs will stick to pan even with oil, but still cleans well with a good soak. Overall, very easy to clean. The Wide reduces any oil spray splashing if using high heat with some sauces. I actually bought a tiny non-stick cooker, to use for fried eggs and reheating any single serve meals this Rio Wide plus makes. It’s giant but feels like very high quality grade metal and parts all around. I use it 5x per week, never a burn issue, even making a small portion of beans. Never any issue with the little pressure apparatus in the lid, and cleans up nicely with just rinsing, and stays there, cannot lose it. Very versatile, not just for stews. Has 3 settings for Heat if not wanting to use the lid and do some pan fry. With oil, the tortillas won’t stick. Not just for huge meals.

    Wonderful large size pressure cooker!
I’ve been a pressure cooker fan for years and have owned Presto, Cuisinart, and Instapot brands. I am SO impressed with this Instapot’s large size and heat adjustment feature (especially for sauteeing) . It has been super for preparing spaghetti sauce, chili, and soups for family and guests! You can feed a good sized crowd with this cooker. It slow cooks too!I haven’t used that function yet but intend to. Easy to operate and clean. It’s heavy, but it has to be; it’s a workhorse.

    Game changer!!
Personally I’ve never owned an instant pot and never worked with a pressure cooker so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I bought this because my guy and I work long hours so we don’t always have a lot of time to spend cooking.Well, I must say, WOW! I made a beef birria last night and in one hour it was all done. I used the sauté function to give the meat a once over and then I switched to the pressure cooking function and added the sauce I made for it. It cooked for 45 minutes, pressure released for 10 and voila, DONE! Probably one of the best birrias I’ve made thus far. So much flavor! I also pressure cooked some beans and those were also done in about 40minutes.This instant pot is pretty bulky so I was concerned it wouldn’t fit in my kitchen but no biggie I was able to store in my pantry perfectly! Besides the size only made it easy to serve and dig around for the meat.I have not tried any of the other functions yet but so far I’m loving the pressure cooking function, slow cooker, and sauté function. I absolutely love you can delay cooking also. Overall I am very satisfied!

I had the old version tall. But this fat dude is a winner of saving me time and effort to cook for a big family. The bowl is big and fits alot of food. The functions our very easy to use it is made very well. I bought before fall hit 2023 and have nocomplaints. This will replace alot of other cook× wear, Money well spent.

misrepresentation out the gate but expecting great item in the end.
Details say 1000w. it is 1200w so slight misrepresentation there.Came a day late. strike 2. (but post office problem. Not the seller.)Going out on a limb and expect it to work as great as my other ones. Will update as I use it.14 Dec 24: Works as well as any. It actually will be replacing my large cooker as I can fit a bread tray in it that I make my meatloaf in.https://www.amazon.com/Non-Stick-Meatloaf-2-Piece-Healthy-Removable/dp/B07QNCTXYL/I bent the wing up to fit in a round air fryer but still works in this thing.Defiantly suggest for a single person who cooks mid size amounts of food. ex: 6-8 portions and put in container to consume next couple days.

    Love it!
Bought this to replace my older instant pot that I melted the lid. Wow, what an upgrade! It actually fits under my cabinet without taking the lid off. Also the wider area helps to cook fast when on sauté. Looks nicer than my old one too.

    Loving my Rio
I love this instant pot. I have the original instant pot /air fryer which works great but was more than I needed. I gave it to my son and his wife and they use it a lot. The rio is wider but not as deep and easier for me to use. My favorite part of both pots is the pressure cooker. Pressure cookers have come a long way and I am impressed with how easy the rio is. A whole chicken fits in it with ease. I made chicken and dumplings in a short amount of time. Stew Beef was a breeze to make. Just put it all in the pot turn on the pressure cooker and walk away.

A Great Buy for quick cooking!
I really like the lower profile of this one. Just wish they made the silicone top where I could cover it and just put the interior pot in the fridge for storing leftovers. But I’m grateful for the added width too.
