    Great Smart Doorbell
This doorbell camera is fantastic! The picture quality is crystal clear with the 2K resolution, and the night vision works surprisingly well. I love the two-way audio feature—it’s super convenient to talk to visitors without opening the door. Here’s what made the installation and setup easy:1. Hardwiring Tip: Make sure your existing doorbell wiring is compatible. I had to double-check mine, but once I confirmed, it was easy to install.2. Follow the App: The app walks you through the setup step by step, from connecting to Wi-Fi to testing the doorbell.3. Storage Options: I went with the SD card option to avoid cloud subscription fees—it’s great to have both choices. It integrates well with Alexa, and the notifications are instant. Highly recommend this if you want a reliable and affordable smart doorbell!”

Just what I have been looking for.
I love this product. You DO NOT have to pay $9 a month for THEM to keep your video. It records to a 128Gig SD card. Installation is simple. The Kasa app is very nice. You can draw a square where you want the camera to notice activity. It records audio and video when motion is detected. It erases old video when it runs out of memory. If you have to grab video, on iPhone you can screen record so you can grab what you need to your phone, and send to anyone from there, even police, so easy. When I first installed it. It said the SD card was not the right format. The app kind of froze for a while……..it was downloading latest firmware. When that was all done, everything worked great. It comes with an external electronic doorbell as you have to disable your current doorbell. The electronic doorbell has 3 volume levels, much louder than the old fashioned bell we had. It has 8 different ringtones. I did have to buy an $80 Netgear WIFI booster as out router is in a room in the back part of the house and the doorbell is at the front door. Even thought my phone shows 5 full bars, the video camera wasn’t getting wifi. Once the WIFI booster was “WPS” synced to the router (push the button on each device) it all worked. When you monitor the video feed, you can hear audio from the outside. Using the app, you can use your phone to talk to the person at your front door. The audio is loud and clear. I have 2 KASA wall switches that turn on the lights to the front and rear doors in to the house. I have 2 KASA lights that use the app. You can change color and brightness. I have 4 KASA smart outlets, when Christmas comes, the app turns on all the Christmas lites in the house a the same time. I am in heaven. 1 app for everything with NO MONTHLY FEE. This is working for me. I hope it works for you too. I might buy a cheap small tablet that can be set to monitor the video at the front door all day.

    Great stand alone doorbell
I’m a big fan of Kasa smart home items. The build is well done and looks great. The wideness of the camera allows for a very big viewing area. I didn’t have any lag with my wifi. I got this to be able to have 24/7 recording without a subscription. Just put a sd card in and you are good to go!Installing was simple with their guide and their step by step instructions on the app and paper copy.My only issue with this doorbell is it does not work well with my google nest speaker and google home app. So I had to return it. If you don’t use google home this is a great stand alone doorbell. I think it might work better with amazon echos but I recommended looking up videos before buying.

Easy to install in place of old Nest doorbell
We had an old nest doorbell that was starting to act up a lot and go offline all the time. I also wasn’t a fan of the subscription model there and so I gave this a try. The insulation was simple and the mounting holes were exactly the same so I didn’t have to drill any new holes which was nice. The quality of the video is great and I really like that there is no subscription. I just pop in an SD card and it works great. The only minor criticism I would say is that the build quality is a little cheap compared to the nest, but for the low price it’s completely acceptable.

I wanted to get a video doorbell that was cost effective and did 24/7 recording without paying for a subscription. This is the perfect solution for this. I bought a 128 GB micro SD card which I put into the back of this doorbell. Amazing how much storage fits on a little tiny card these days.I am very happy with it. Install was easy. The step by step instructions in the app are simple to follow and accurate. Took about 15 minutes to turn off power, take out old doorbell, bypass the ringer, screw in the adapter, connect doorbell, turn on power, and connect to wifi and format the SD card. There are a lot of options in the app for notifications, video quality, sounds, being able to have messages sent. My kids think the new doorbell is hilarious too. I like playing the message for them that they are trespassing and the police have been called. The video quality is quite excellent. Night vision is decent too. Hoping it lasts a long time because I am quite impressed. The AI that picks up when a person approaches the door and instant notifications work extremely well.

I purchased the Kasa KD110 Video Doorbell spring of 2023. It was a great purchase. I live in Southern Ontario, so the weather ranges from summer hot to winter cold. This device has worked great throughout it all. I had to replace the old typical door bell in our house. I pulled it all out. Ran a new power supply and hooked it all up. The door bell and the chime paired up immediately. Setup door bell using the Kasa app, got it connected to my wifi and was watching everything in front of my house in minutes. Installed a micro sd card and can review everything the camera sees. The image is decent for both daytime and nighttime viewing. The motion detection works well as does the person detection. Have had no issues with connecting to the camera from where ever I may be. The two-way audio works well enough.Would be great if they would add the ability to view the camera from a web browser on my computer.

There are a lot of positives for this doorbellCamera seems pretty clear and works okay in low light. It is hardwired so it works well in cold climates. Doorbells that run off of batteries do not charge well at really cold temperatures. So far it works at -27C. It can be powered off existing doorbell wires but I choose to run it off a separate power source. It comes with its own doorbell ringer! Just plug it in and sync it. It has different ringer sounds and is easy to hear in the house. The app is great. It connects to the doorbell quickly and I had no connection failures. If you choose to install a microSD card then there is camera history to view. Set up events so that the people events are listed. When viewing the event video there are record and snapshot buttons available to save the information to your phone. It integrates nicely with Amazon Alexa Show. The doorbell has a button pressed skill that allows the doorbell camera to open on the Alexa Show. There is a bit of a delay but tolerable. Now for the bad.I guess that costs were an issue regarding the mounting backet design. It seems pretty cheap and maybe a bit fragile.I tried to get it to work with a Google Nest Display. Integration and setup was easy. The main problem is that 1/3 of attempts to display the doorbell camera failed with an “Oops” error. I spent a lot of time with Google support and Kasa support but no resolution to the problem.
