We bought these because my boyfriend is a nerd and has turned our basement into his nerd dungeon. And he wanted to decorate with a whole bunch of nerdy framed posters all over the walls. However their cinder block walls so we couldn’t nail. We tried some command strips but that didn’t work out too well so I found these and decided to take that approach. They’ve now been on the walls for about 2 months. Well some of them we did have to actually order a second order of these to put the rest up. They have held and haven’t moved or slipped at all. Some of the posters that he hung are really really big like a life-size Doctor who tardis (did I mention he’s a nerd??). The extra benefit that came from these is that some of the posters he has had in their frames for years and have gone through many moves. When he and I first met he decorated his living room with all these posters like that was just his life. A lot of them had started to warp and bend and no longer sat flat and straight against the wall. With these we just put one in each corner and then it holds them flat out and keeps them smooth. I also ended up using them to hang a canvas in upstairs hallway. That is on texture drywall and the canvas is a bit heavier cuz it’s got a wood frame and all of that. Obviously still not super heavy but it is a decently waited canvas picture. And it’s on texture drywall. These have held up just as well with that as they have on the cinder block walls of the nerd dungeon. They definitely perform at exactly what you want them to.For application we just stuck the set together remove the tape from one side and put it on what we wanted to hang then removed the tape from the other backing and stuck it on the wall where we wanted so it was really easy. In the nerd dungeon we put up 11 posters and it took maybe a half hour to fully install them all the way up. Definitely an easy installation. I cannot say anything about the ease of removal because we haven’t removed any. We just bought this house a few months ago so hopefully there will be no moving for at least 10 years.I would highly recommend these for apartments or any sort of rental for the benefit of your security deposit. But we’re using them in a house that we own and intend to be in long term and they genuinely are very beneficial. Definitely recommend for rentals but honestly a great product for anyone and everyone.

Mixed results with these heavy duty hanging strips
These heavy duty hanging strips are great for lighter picture frames, securely, holding them in place on smooth walls. However, they failed with a larger, heavier frame, which fell and broke. The problem might be that my walls aren’t perfectly smooth, affecting the strips grip. Overall, they reliable for smaller items and smooth services, but not for heavier frames or textured walls.

Bought two packages of these, and I’m telling you right now, SAVE YOUR MONEY
Used these to hang up a massive amounts of small frames, and now my wall is a ticking timebomb. I will be sitting in my room, and start hearing it peeling off from the wall, or from the frame and have to spin to try and catch it or shield myself from the fall so I don’t get shattered glass in my face.9 of the frames have fallen in total, and several of those frames I have put back up multiple times. At first I thought it was user error, I didn’t clean the walls the first time, I didn’t give it time to sit on the wall before hanging– which are both things I know are standard, but I’ve never really had to do that with command strips, so I shrugged and told myself that was my fault.But 6 of the frames that have fallen again (three times in addition, for some of those) have been with dusted and wet wiped clean walls that were given time to dry, with fresh strips, put on and then immediately taken off and given 24 hours to settle in place before putting any weight back on them.These things are absolutely garbage.I have 3 shattered glass panes that I now need to replace, and I’m honestly dreading how many more are going to come down. Already bought some name brand strips to replace any that fall from now on, and in some cases I just bit the bullet and put some small nails in the wall–not like I’m getting my deposit back anyways.SAVE YOURSELF time, money, broken glass, and a whole lot of frustration by sticking as far away from these as you can. I had used up a whole package and a forth of the second package to hang everything, and now I’m stuck with 3/4ths of a box of complete garbage.
