A great addition to the kitchen
I bought this ChangBERT induction cooktop to replace my old one. The plastic casing on my previous model had started to melt where it made contact with hot pots, and cracks appeared after just a year of use. That’s why I specifically chose this stainless steel version – it should hold up much better. When comparing the two, both units boil a small pot of water (about 1 quart) in roughly the same time. But the ChangBERT really shines with larger volumes – it heats high capacity noticeably faster, probably thanks to its commercial-grade power.Another bonus was how much quieter this unit operates. My old cooktop was super loud, sometimes making this high-pitched squealing sound, which drove me crazy. Now I can actually enjoy cooking in peace. What really sold me is the user-friendly design. The physical buttons respond instantly, and the temperature/power controls are precise. My previous sense touch panels constantly malfunctioned – water splashes or damp fingers made the controls glitchy and unresponsive. I strongly recommend other brands adopt this tactile button approach instead of frustrating sense touch panels.Plus, the sleek stainless steel design looks sharp in my kitchen. Overall, this cooktop gets my full recommendation – it’s a massive upgrade in both performance and durability.

Easy to use interface, solid Build & quiet operation
We’ve used other models from this brand for years. Bought one for myself, then gave it to my mom, and she’s still using it—simple, safe, no open flame and toxic gas, and it lasts. I trust this brand.Recently, I needed something for light outdoor cooking, so I checked out induction cooktops again. This one costs a bit more than some other brands, but it’s totally worth it—the stainless steel frame is durable and stays looking new, the cheaper plastic models that tend to look worn out over time. Stuck with this brand again, no regrets. This model has a sturdy industrial look but still sleek, and the control buttons have solid tactile feedback. What’s the plus? The display is super clear and simple. It also shows both the timer and cooking settings at the same time, so convenient. And the one-touch max power button, and the Keep Warm function is great for quick daily meals.Easy to use, great for big meals. And tried Keep Warm at 140°F—no boiling over. Gonna test more with temperature settings. Looks great on the counter, solid buy.

Precision is lacking
As others have said, this has a solid quality feel to it and heats up and maintains heat quite well. However, it lacks precise control for both heat and temp settings which I subtract one star. For example, on the HEAT setting you can adjust between 200w and 1800w but only in 20w increments, likewise TEMP can be adjusted between 120F and 460F but only in 20F increments. Furthermore, there is a learning curve on when and how to use TEMP and HEAT as they operate independently.

Title: Heats Up Super Fast at 1800 Watts, Overall Great
This portable induction cooktop came well-packaged and ready to use. It’s restaurant-certified and looks great on the counter while being easy to move around. Initially, I didn’t plan to use it for everyday cooking, as I usually rely on my full-size electric range. However, after preparing a few meals, I was amazed at how fast it heats up—it actually performs better than my full-sized range. Now, I just place it right on top of my range. The cooktop has a fan, but the noise is barely noticeable. One of the best features is the control buttons. They’re simple to use, unlike the touch-sensitive controls on my old range, which would malfunction whenever condensation dripped onto the glass when lifting a lid.I also love that I can use it outdoors when frying, which helps reduce lingering odors in the house during warmer months. We’ve been using it every day for two weeks now. Highly recommend it!

Better than gas, great to have it
Been using gas stoves for years, and if there’s one thing I know, metal lasts. That’s why when I switched to induction, I didn’t even consider a plastic casing. Seen too many of those wear out, discolor, or even crack over time. This ChangBERT cooktop costs a little more than some others, but honestly, worth it for the durability. Stainless steel holds up way better, stays looking new, and just feels solid. After months of cooking on it every day, still cleans up easily and works like new.Figured out pretty quickly that Heat mode and Temp mode work best together. Crank up Heat mode at 1800W to get things hot fast, then switch to Temp mode to hold it steady. Works way better and saves time. Steaming veggies used to take 6 minutes to boil, now it’s done in 3. More efficient, less chance of burning.Honestly, after getting used to this, I can’t go back to gas. Gas stoves can’t hold a steady temp. With keep warm setting, set it, walk away, and come back and no any problem. If you need something solid, easy to clean, and actually built to last, this is it. Highly recommend.

Good quality cooktop at a fair price
I’ve been using induction stoves for several years, and I bought this countertop for light cooking or deep frying. While it costs a bit more than other models I’ve owned, I feel much safer cooking with it—especially since I’ve had bad experiences with plastic models that emit strong burning smells at high heat. Heats up way faster than my old one. Like, when I’m having a family gathering and need to boil 5 gallons of water for a big pot of food, it gets the job done much quicker, even though they are rated at 1800 watts. The temperature control also makes sense—after setting it to HEAT mode at 1800 watts to boil, it holds steady without boiling over when I switch to TEMP mode. It’s simple to use and perfect for soups or big meals. A great addition to my kitchen, and the sleek design looks beautiful on the countertop.
