Beautiful!
I love contemporary design and love touches of black in my decor, but not too much. I also needed coasters but didn’t want anything cheesy. These are beautiful and when they are just sitting on my tray, they look like a piece of art.

Beautiful natural black marble coasters
These natural stone coasters are beautiful– black with some natural grey streaks. Well-made, heavy, 4 small round rubber (or maybe silicone) protectors on bottom both protects table and stops slipping. As absorbent as marble can be — does a nice job. Some folks wrote negative reviews that these are not as absorbent as Thirstystone’s sandstone coasters…of course they are not since they are marble, not sandstone! Read the description of the product…if it’s not what you want, don’t buy it! But don’t write a negative review because you didn’t take the time to know what you were buying! Yes, Thirstystone sells sandstone coasters, but they also sell marble and other types of coasters too. I couldn’t be more happy with these awesome looking and functioning natural stone coasters.

I needed black coasters to go with my black.And tables , and when these coasters came , they are more like dark gray , not happy

Quality control could be better
Overall we like these coasters. They are large enough to accommodate a large mug. They are heavy enough that a sweating glass does not stick to the coaster and lift it off the table when you pick it up. But they are not consistent. Three are basically alike: they are relatively smooth, but one of these has a slope at the edge. The fourth one is at least 1/8 inch thicker than the others and has a much more roughly honed surface, like it wasn’t polished. Don’t ask me why it is thicker. Seems like they would have had some template to help them all be the same thickness. I am not sending them back because they do the job, but I would definitely not give them as a gift given the degree of inconsistency.

Not Thirstystone
These coasters are regular marble, not Thirstystone. They do not absorb liquid at all. As well, in my 4 pack 1 of the coasters was a completely different color.

These coasters have a smooth surface that is not at all absorbent. Water runs straight off of it. These are NOT Thirstystone brand. Returned.
