EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!!
My Grandparents purchased this home in1963, & I was thrilled to become the second owners. Built in a very quiet neighborhood, not once had it been burglarized. That was until a few months ago, when first my car was broken into right in front of our driveway, & my neighbors Amazon orders were swiped right off of her porch. This experience really opened my eyes, & I began looking for a doorbell camera. I’m old school, & was completely clueless to the many functions they provide. But since installation & downloading the ADOMII app, I do not know how I’ve ever lived without one!I cannot take credit for the camera being installed. I am very lucky to have a husband who does so mostly without complaints. I was told the bracket, screws. & USB cord were included, & the instructions were self explanatory. He was able to download the app easily, made an account, figured out the many functions, then gave me a lesson. I was completely blown away- After downloading the ADOMII app I was immediately able to see my front porch & walkway clearly. It even has a night vision mode! I love that we’re able to clearly see who or what is near my porch day or night, & it’s recorded. We’re also able to see the outdoor temp, wind speed, humidity, & air pressure. There’s options available to add additional ADOMII Home products to the app as well. My so far favorite thing about this WiFi doorbell camera is the AI motion activated sensor that sends an alert to my phone. Immediately I know exactly who is behind the door without having to push pause on my remote & get up & see. I’m happy to see my deliveries arrive, & am able to thank those amazing drivers using the two way audio. Or I can kindly let the man selling roofs that in fact we had ours replaced 2yrs ago.I’m telling you this is just fabulous in so many ways!I highly recommend this to anyone who is concerned about their delivery’s, but even more I feel as if it’s a great safety feature I didn’t even realize.

Good for the price
First the good, the doorbell works well and does what the claims for it are. The camera captures clear video and pictures both night and day. When speaking through the app to someone at the door the sound is clear and easily understood. Installing the doorbell near the door was easy enough.Now for the rest: As you can see, in my last picture, that in the upper left had corner it shows the amount of charge remaining in the doorbell unit. The ability to add this was stumbled upon while trying things in the app as things aren’t so clearly marked. I first install the app on my Android phone via the QR code in the booklet. First it took me to a cookbook page, next to some other page and then to another page and finally, on the fourth attempt it took me to the correct page that said in the URL “Aura Home”.Then while putting in the password it said that my password was too long. I wasn’t about to change my password for this doorbell app so I tried again an again and finally, on the fourth try it accepted the password. Then everything worked.I then installed the app and tried it on an iPhone. The iPhone was much easier to get working. One other thing, I don’t understand why this doorbell needs both a WiFi connection and a Bluetooth connection. That seems redundant to me.As others have pointed out, the doorbell could be easily stolen by pressing the clip or the micro SD card could be removed and stolen. You don’t need to have a micro SD card installed for the doorbell and app to work, the card will save your videos and pictures only. And neither the documentation nor the product page state what type of SD card the unit requires, i.e., what class, what speed, etc.Documentation can be vastly improved but the unit is not difficult to figure out.

Review for the Adomii Wireless Video Doorbell Camera.I was quite surprised at the quality of this item considering its price point.Set up was super easy. I had charged it prior to setting up to make sure it was fully charged. Simply just download the app and turn on the device. The app quickly detected the doorbell via Bluetooth and set up was quick and easy.The app’s UI could use some work. Not a lot of icon labels and just icons that aren’t very clear as to what they mean. You kinda just have to tap on everything and see what its function is. But once you figure it out, it’s pretty straight forward.The app also sometimes has a tendency to glitch or error out when attempting to change device settings or functions, but I found force quitting the app resolved any issues for a while but would randomly happen again. This could be resolved with software updates. At the time of this review, there were no firmware updates, and the last App update was a couple months old.The doorbell itself seems to be very sturdy. Good build quality. Installation was very straight forward. I would beg the build quality would rival other more expensive brands.The video quality was surprisingly very good. The wide angle lens isn’t as wide as you would expect, but very clear. Also has infrared night mode.Hardware wise, and this is probably its biggest downfall not for quality, but for security. This was not thought out very well.The charging port, power/reset buttons, and the SD card slot are under a rubber gasket on the side of the device, allowing anyone to tamper with these inputs, turn it off, take your SD card, or simply take the whole doorbell as a whole as the doorbell does not bolt down to it’s mounting bracket. It simply slides off with the press of one very visible button at the bottom.If you live in an area that has high foot traffic by your door like an apartment building, it’s a tough buy considering how easily it could be stolen or tampered with.With some much needed security design updates to the hardware, I would highly recommend it.
